Sea sailing to Spain

Upon completion of the discharge operation in the Red Sea, mv Rolldock Sea sailed to Spain were she had to load a transformer plus accessories with destination New Orleans. The transformer was lifted with vessel's own cranes in tandemlift. After loading, the vessel went enroute to the Continent to further load additional cargo for the Gulf of Mexico.

The first trip of mv Rolldock Sea

Upon completion of her final seatrials, mv Rolldock Sea sailed to the Arabian Gulf to execute her first job. Here she had to show her multi-functional capabilities as the major part of the cargo had to be loaded by flo-flo and the remaining part by lo-lo. After the successful loading operation, the vessel sailed to the Red Sea.

And back again: DEME Dredger from Panama to Antwerp

Directly after discharging the previous project mv Rolldock Sun started with a new one. This time DEME's CSD Vlaanderen XIX & accessories had to be transported back to Belgium. After loading the vessel sailed to Antwerp were she discharged the 5000mt dredger by flo-flo and the loose equipment by lo-lo.

Cutter Dredger to Panama

For account of IHC Beaver Dredgers BV mv Rolldock Sun loaded a 4000mt cutter dredger in Rotterdam. Loading was done by means of floflo. Spudpoles were loaded by vessel's cranes and stowed onto special cradles. It was a tighter fit than previous operations as there was only 2 centimeters space between the dredger and Rolldock Sun's dockwalls.

Cutter Dredger part 2

For account of IHC Beaver Dredgers BV mv Rolldock Sun loaded again a 3900mt cutter dredger in Rotterdam. Loading was done by means of floflo. The crew already installed all cribbing wood during the voyage so the RD Sun could start with loading on arrival (photo 2). It was a tight fit as there was only 5 centimeters space between the dredger and Rolldock Sun's dockwalls.

Dredging cargo to Congo

On its way back to Rotterdam mv Rolldock Sun loaded some floating cargo and discharged same in Congo, the photo is showing the departure of the vessel from Pointe Noire, Congo.Rolldock Sun seen during departure from Pointe Noire .  

Various dredging equipment to the Maldives

After discharge at Karachi the Rolldock Sun loaded a full load of dredging equipment for the Maldives. The cargo consisted of a cutter dredger and other floating objects wich were loaded partly by means of floating in and by means of lifting with vessel's own cranes.

Cutter dredger part 1

Transport of a cutter-dredger of 3900MT for account of IHC Beaver Dredgers BV. The dredger was loaded by flo flo in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Destination was Karachi, Pakistan.

Submarine

A KILO-class submarine was shipped from India to Russia in July. No photo's available for publication.

Dipper dredger

Transport of a dipper-dredger of 3000MT and 500MT of additional equipment for account of Jan de Nul. The dredger was loaded by flo flo in Noumea, New Caledonia and the 500MT equipment was loaded by vessel's cranes. Destination was Port Hedland, Australia.

 

SPTOF project

This project consisted of the transportation of seven furnaces each weighing 2300MT, 7 CV-decks of each 450MT and 4 pipe-racks up to 280MT in seven consecutive voyages for the Exxon-Mobil project. They were loaded Ro-Ro at Sattahip, Thailand and shipped to Singapore where they were also discharged basis Ro-Ro. The transports were executed to the full satisfaction of ExxonMobil.
